Youth Council of the U.S. Embassy in North Macedonia The Youth Council empowers young people in Macedonia by providing a platform for ideas, projects and more. It also has an advisory role to the US Embassy.
International Youth Day is celebrated every 12th of August. We, as a Youth Council, feel and have an enormous devotion in marking this day! As we already experienced, 2020 faced us with many obstacles. But united and devoted we are finally seeing the light out of the tunnel! In that sense in 2020, by respecting the health measures, the Youth Council was inspired to celebrate this day through the Youth Day Campaign with the support of many young activists.
We published statements from young people, who are actively engaged and speak loudly about the rights of youth. The U.S. Ambassador to North Macedonia H.E. Kate Marie Byrnes joined the campaign with her message for young people, as well. Together we move, together we create leaders and a better future!
