Youth Council of the U.S. Embassy in North Macedonia The Youth Council empowers young people in Macedonia by providing a platform for ideas, projects and more. It also has an advisory role to the US Embassy.
The Youth Council of the U.S. Embassy’s core goal is to stand on behalf of the young people in our country, represent, and offer solutions for their challenges. Due to this pandemic many young artists have been left without adequate platforms for their development, especially young musicians. That is why we hosted an online campaign bearing the name #VoiceOfYouth in which we promoted young musicians in our country and told their stories and how they overcame their challenges.
Several musicians were recorded in a studio in a concert fashion, and the videos were published on social media. This gave the audience and youth a way to safely enjoy music produced by our musicians. We brought a bit of extra rhythm and pleasant sounds to people’s homes in the challenging pandemic times. At the same time, through the songs the aim of this campaign was to tell the stories of our youth and support them in the process. Catch a glimpse of the wonderful performances.
